Screening of “Questions of Justice: Officers of Color in the Era of #BlackLivesMatter”

Event description: 
The Policy Lab is excited to announce an upcoming screening and discussion of the film “Questions of Justice: Officers of Color in the Era of #BlackLivesMatter” by Yale students Aaron Peirano Garrison and Clark Burnett. The film explores how minority police officers navigate an era of intense tension between police and minority communities. The film will be followed by a panel discussion on race and policing featuring an esteemed group of activists, police officers, and experts on the criminal justice system. They include:
 
  • Chief Anthony Campbell: Chief of the New Haven Police Department
  • Quinn Isaiah Williamson: Student activist and publisher
  • Monica Bell: Associate Professor at Yale Law School
  • Lt. Tarrick McGuire: Community activist and police officer
  • Ken Barone: Manager of the Connecticut Racial Profiling Prohibition Project
